We are offering a fantastic opportunity to join the team as Adult Care Apprentice and learn from the experienced staff members at Sylvan House. If you have a caring nature and a natural interest in people and want to make a difference, then this is the role for you!

Duties to include:
Enable Residents to lead as active and independent lives as possible by providing holistic and personal care

Promote choice to customers in their daily living by providing care, which meets care quality commissions (CQC) fundamental standards and support happy living for the years ahead

Comply with CQC fundamental standards and Anchors policies and procedures at all times

Prioritise tasks as appropriate

Escalate concerns/issues as appropriate

Record accurate and legible documentation

Deliver a care plan

Identify and report signs of poor practice or abuse

Identify and ensure health and safety standards are met

Level 2 Adult Care Worker Standard

Functional Skills in maths and English will be delivered if required

The qualifcation is delivered out on site at the Care home main site.

GCSE English and Maths A*-C / 9-4 (or equivalent) would be beneficial, however not essential.

Enthusiasm and commitment to the work based learning route

Punctual and reliable

Excellent timekeeping

A patient and naturally caring nature

Ability to communicate with clients in a professional but friendly manner

Job task planning and organising

Ability to work with others

Excellent customer service skills

Progression to full time employment for the right candidate on completion of the Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship. Chance of wage increase for the right candidate after showing commitment to the Apprenticeship and Employer. To progress in the Health and Social Care industry and have a drive to succeed and take on further qualifications to enhance your skill set.

You will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS disclosure if you are successful at interview. The costs of the DBS are fully covered by the employer.
