We are recruiting for two Application Managersto joinour new IT team within Mercedes-Benz Trucks.Reporting to the Head of IT, you will be utilising ITIL Service Management skills and experience proactively deliver application management and support processes throughout the whole application lifecycle, for the agreed scope of applications under your responsibility, ensuring the provision of high effective, reliable and efficient solutions to highly satisfied business users.

More About The Role

As our new Applications Manager, you will develop, maintain and utilise your expert understanding of the business use, application landscapes and integration, data dependencies and support processes, to enable you to effectively lead and collaborate with the business, IT functions and external vendors, in delivering applications management and operations tasks. You will drive the adoption and continual evolution to ensure effective operation of incident, request and problem management processes based on ITIL best practice are utilised by all partners to support the delivery of high quality support services, which are aligned with the Daimler operating model, to achieve timely resolution and restoration of a stable and complete application service. Manage the effectiveness of these services in line with the agreed Service Levels and drive topic escalation as necessary.

Establish and perform supplier management processes with solution providers to ensure effective management of the relationship, the commercial agreements, service costs, service quality against agreed SLA’s and service compliance status to enable the management of service risks, establish service improvements and recommend service optimisation opportunities to safeguard stability, resilience, performance and cost effectiveness of the engaged solutions. Also, manage and coordinate of the acceptance of changes to the solutions providing live business services to protect the integrity and effectiveness of the application, through close collaboration with demand, project delivery and release teams, to ensure an effective transition into run and minimise the impacts of disruption following the introduction of change.

About You

Alongside experience within a similar role, you can demonstrate a sound knowledge of current and emerging IT technologies and architectures, with desired experience of change management and business process engineering in a commercial environment. You will be a specialist in the area of IT infrastructure and data management, with relevant IT experience in the automotive industry. You will be highly organised, confident with your communication and be self-motivated. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and experience with DevOps, FOSS, DevOps, Cloud, API, IAM). You will also have an analytical mind and demonstrate structured, logical and lateral thinking.
