We are looking for a full-time applications chemist to join our applications team. The Role will be ideal for a candidate with GC experience that is looking to further learn and develop their analytical skills. The role will involve a varied range of predominantly GC analytical application work covering a wide range of industries and requirements. You will assist in running customer samples, QC testing of production instruments and incoming goods, as well as assisting with development testing of new products and solutions. Your role will involve creating reports, communicating, and working with stakeholders both internally (production, sales/marketing, development) and externally (customers). You will be supported directly by our very experience senior application chemist and senior management team.

The Candidate should ideally have the following capabilities

  • Education to degree level, ideally in chemistry or a relevant subject.
  • Experience of using gas chromatography equipment
  • Good understanding of lab safety, COSSH and Good Lab Practice (GLP)
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Be comfortable working on multiple projects at the same time
  • Good organisational and time management skills to ensure work is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Be comfortable to present ideas to colleagues and management.

The Role will be based at our headquarters in Ely Cambs but may occasionally require travel both within the UK and abroad.

Salary £23-28K depending upon experience, benefits include competitive workplace pension scheme, private medical insurance.
