What’s involved with this role:
Temporary Anti-Social Behaviour Officer – Housing Reference no: SGN 5229389 Pay rate: Up to £18.14 per hour PAYE depending on experience This opening assignment is for 2-3 months Enhanced DBS disclosure is listed as a requirement for this role The successful candidate will be accountable for delivering a tenure blind, professional, pro-active, visible, high quality, customer-centric service addressing engrained anti-social behaviour & delivering tenancy success through resolution & enforcement s across a locality.   • To take responsibility to deliver the right outcome for our customer in a safe and timely way.
  • Deliver highly effective professional tenure blind service within a locality to resolve engrained anti-social behaviour, where legal action is a last resort and deliver tenancy success through resolution whilst meeting agreed performance, service, financial standards ensuring customer satisfaction, and fully comply with legislation, regulatory and governing requirements.
  • Working collaboratively with locality and functional teams to resolve non access, fraud and tenancy and lease breaches to ensure regulatory and statutory compliance within agreed customer standards and financial regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the Locality and cross functional teams to provide a proactive data led service to deliver the customer outcomes, building trust and respect within our communities whilst ensuring effective practice is in place so that all services fully comply with legislation, regulatory and governing requirements.
  • Be responsible for developing productive relationships with local stakeholders and partnering agencies, built on trust, respect and a joint interest in addressing anti-social behaviour through minimal use of enforcement powers.
  • Demonstrate commitment and energy to the team to motivate and inspire the achievement of results and create a great place to work with customers and colleague maintain and improve places. Through listening to the voice of our customers and communities shape innovative social and physical improvement to support their aspirations.
  • Develop and maintain a digital presence within locality, actively broadcasting community messaging and by hearing our customers voice develop innovative solutions to build community ownership.
  • Support the development of creative solutions to improve customer service and efficiency of delivery whilst ensuring procedures are followed and compliance and regulatory standards are met.
  • Ensure that our assets are maintained and improved to protect their core value and to meet the needs and expectations of current and future residents.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
  • Experience of delivering effective anti-social behaviour service to address ingrained behaviours whilst minimising need for legal intervention and supporting tenancy success.
  • Experience of addressing non access, fraud and other tenancy breaches minimising need for legal intervention.
  • Excellent demonstratable knowledge of tenancy, lease, resolution, and legal approaches to maintain and improve outcomes for our customers and minimise risk.
  • Experience of working across teams and agencies to address complex customer needs.
  • Experience of representing the council at a local level to raise the profile of the business.
  • Understanding of data breaches, associated implications and industry standards of preventing/triaging a breach.
  • Evidence of suggesting and supporting the delivery of innovative concepts, utilising future changes in policy to support flexibility in a responsive organisation.

  • Ability to work with others to optimise team performance.
  • An effective communicator that builds trust and respect able to influence and challenge.
  • Ability to receive honest communication and develop inclusive relationships whilst remaining self-motivated and accountable for your work.
  • Have a track record of meeting deadlines and working effectively with others in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Evidence of excellent customer service achievements in a complex delivery environment.
  • Ability to record and maintain the proper use of data.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
