The Role

The Analytics Engineering team plays a central role in how data moves around Capital on Tap. They are responsible for building, maintaining, and optimising our data platforms from design to the end product.

As an Analytics Engineer, you will provide seamless access to high-quality, tested, and documented data to enable our teams to build and optimise our products - ultimately helping our customers and the growth of Capital on Tap.

This would be a hybrid position, working from our London Offices 1-2 days per week

Responsibilities

  • Own the data stack for Capital on Tap (Fivetran, Snowflake, DBT, and Looker)
  • Own the flow of data through our Cloud Data Warehouse and component parts
  • Create and maintain data pipeline architecture, through organised and tested DBT models
  • Build out and own custom data pipelines using Python and the Azure platform
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements (Github CI/CD, automating manual processes, optimising data delivery, etc.)
  • Work with stakeholders including the Leadership Team, Credit, Fincrime, Finance, and Engineering to assist with data-related issues/requirements
  • Keep our data efficient and consistent at a global level, maintaining our warehouse environments over multiple regions

What do we require?

  • Expert SQL coding skills
  • Experience modeling data (e.g. dimensional modeling)
  • Experience working with a Cloud Data Warehouse (we work with Snowflake)
  • Familiarity developing/building within a BI tool - Looker is preferable. (Mode, Tableau, etc. is also acceptable)
