ALARM RECEIVING CENTRE MANAGER

Cardiff Council’s 24/7 Services unit is home to a Category 2, ISO 9001 accredited Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), which offers a comprehensive range of security and response services for Cardiff Council properties including:

• Key holding
• Alarm monitoring
• Access Control
• Remote CCTV monitoring
• Mobile security service

This role will oversee the day-to-day control centre function in a busy Alarm Receiving Centre as well as the mobile response service. The role requires a confident communicator, who can take ownership of queries/incidents and deliver high quality customer service. We are looking for a strong and resilient manager who enjoys challenge.

The successful candidate will have experience of managing a diverse team of people, some of which will be working at locality settings. Having an excellent knowledge of the technical and operational requirements to deliver a groundbreaking service, the successful candidate will also help influence and shape the future development of the service.

The post holder will work collaboratively with key stakeholders, working with colleagues in Housing to make neighbourhoods and estates a clean and pleasant place to live and law enforcement agencies, ensuring the appropriate level of response to incidents and providing a level of reassurance to the citizens of Cardiff.
