The hospital is well-known for their specialist orthopaedic and cosmetic surgeries and women’s health care. The team at this service in Shrewsbury, Shropshire are made up of Theatre and Nursing Staff, Physiotherapists, and other allied health professionals who you will work alongside to provide a constant delivery of outstanding person-centred care.
Job Description
As Agency Scrub Nurse (RGN) in this private hospital, Shrewsbury you will be responsible for:
- Assessing and supporting the operational team to implement the care, writing person centred care plans & risk assessments
- Acting as a link between the surgical team and other parts of the hospital
- Preparing specialist drugs and equipment including anaesthetic machine and IV equipment
- Providing appropriate treatment to patient until they recover from anaesthesia effects or surgery
- Communicating regularly with the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team, acting as the patient’s advocate
- Auditing, reviewing and maintaining clinical documentation
- Monitoring and ensuring the delivery of care is clinically suitable & evidence based
As Agency Scrub Nurse (RGN) You Will Be
- Compassionate, empathetic and understanding of patient’s needs and potential distress at requiring surgery
- Confident and competent working as part of a broad multidisciplinary team of healthcare staff
- Up to date with theoretical and clinical advances within the healthcare and nursing industry
- Available to commit to regular shifts around your lifestyle
- Active & Valid NMC Registration
- Clear Enhanced DBS (Children’s & Adults)
- Legal right to live and work in the UK
- Experience working in a similar setting
