The team at this service in Shrewsbury, Shropshire are made up of Theatre and Nursing Staff, Physiotherapists, and other allied health professionals who you will work alongside to provide a constant delivery of outstanding person-centred care.

    Job Description

    As Agency Scrub Nurse (RGN) in this private hospital, Shrewsbury you will be responsible for:
    • Assessing and supporting the operational team to implement the care, writing person centred care plans & risk assessments
    • Acting as a link between the surgical team and other parts of the hospital
    • Preparing specialist drugs and equipment including anaesthetic machine and IV equipment
    • Providing appropriate treatment to patient until they recover from anaesthesia effects or surgery
    • Communicating regularly with the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team, acting as the patient’s advocate
    • Auditing, reviewing and maintaining clinical documentation
    • Monitoring and ensuring the delivery of care is clinically suitable & evidence based

    As Agency Scrub Nurse (RGN) You Will Be
    • Compassionate, empathetic and understanding of patient’s needs and potential distress at requiring surgery
    • Confident and competent working as part of a broad multidisciplinary team of healthcare staff
    • Up to date with theoretical and clinical advances within the healthcare and nursing industry
    • Available to commit to regular shifts around your lifestyle


    The Successful Scrub Nurse Will Have The Following
    • Active & Valid NMC Registration
    • Clear Enhanced DBS (Children’s & Adults)
    • Legal right to live and work in the UK
    • Experience working in a similar setting
