You lead the plan-do-check-act (PDCA) process of the site quality management system and report results to the quality section manager.

How You Will Contribute

You will support elements of the site’s quality system, including internal documentation and change management control including quality policies amendments and registration of internal and external documentation, internal audits, effective PDCA cycles and CAPA system management and management review. In addition, you will coordinate the eQCMS bi-annual review, handle consumer complaints from start to finish, and serve as a key contact for food regulatory agency inspection and contacts management.

Our key brands are in food supplements; Bassetts soft and chewy vitamins, OTC and Pharmaceutical ; Potters cough pastilles, Mac Extra and Halls products, food; victory v, throaties, Zubes, and we also distribute Halls to UK grocery and pharmacy trade.

The QC Department’s primary function is to enable batches to be manufactured, packed and then released to market following successful completion of testing requirements; raw materials, packaging components, bulk product to registered specifications.

The QC Department is also responsible for ensuring the on-going maintenance of Product Licences, where applicable, which requires Stability specifications, and the generation of Trend data for the Periodic Quality Reviews.

The QC Lab Administrator ensures that all documentation required for the testing process meets regulatory and company regulations and is reviewed and updated as required.

The QC lab Administrator also provides the feedback loop to ensure R&D, Process Engineer and QP have notification of changes that are required to the documents.

This role report to QC Manager.
  • Review and align testing specifications for raw materials and packaging components into an agreed standard format, reflecting testing requirements that meet regulatory and business expectations and guidelines
  • Review and amend Finished Product testing specifications (QCRs) to reflect licenced parameters; In-Process testing specifications to be denoted as such, working with Process Engineer and R&D to provide documents that are fit for purpose for QC Laboratory
  • Work with R&D Analytical Team to ensure that Test methods referred to on any of the testing Specifications (both RM and FP) are in a standard format and reflect validation parameters
  • Work with R&D/Validation Manager on generation of both protocols and reports for Method Validation and Transfer, and any Cleaning or Process Validation that QC lab are carrying out
  • Ensure that review of SOPs is carried out in a timely manner, working with QC Delivery TL and Lead Analysts to ensure that correct working practices/procedures are documented and that all procedures have been checked against regulatory or business guidelines
  • Work with HACCP Co-ordinator to ensure that all water/Environmental testing is carried out in line with Mondelēz International QPs and that results are reported
  • Ensure that testing results are recorded on Trend Tables to enable a quick response to any observed changes in results for products
  • Work with QP to ensure that data is in a suitable format for incorporation into PQRs and that recommendations made form the collation of product data is reflected in licenced variations or variations to In-Process or FP testing specifications following company change control process
  • Provide holiday cover for QC Delivery TL to ensure that batch release is completed to meet packaging and Customer service needs
