Job description

If you are looking for an Administrator position and keen to work on an exciting public sector project, then this is the role for you!

Working for Scottish Qualifications Authority at Shawfair, the location is easily accessible from Midlothian and Edinburgh with free parking/ bus station - only 20 minutes from City Centre.

You will be part of a team who will provide administrative support for the coming exam period - this is a rewarding role which will be varied with a full training programme.
  • Start dates ASAP
  • 3 month temporary contract
  • £10.73 per hour
  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday to Thursday 8:30 to 16:30 and Friday 15:30 finish
  • Overtime may be required and paid at higher rates including £21.46 per hour on a Sunday

Main Duties
  • Provide administrative support to ensure activities are carried out accurately and according to plan and to ensure compliance with documented processes
  • Data entry: create and maintain records, standard reports and spreadsheets to ensure information is up-to-date, easy to access and accurate
  • Carry out filing of information to ensure it is stored accurately following relevant policies and procedures
  • Provide high levels of customer service in respect to queries ensuring responses are issued promptly, accurately and following guidelines

Skills Required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to work in a secure area with highly confidential materials
  • Strong IT skills Word/Excel
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
