HM Prison DoncasterMonday - Friday (8:00- 4:30pm or 8:30-5:00pm)40 Hours per week£21,224 Per AnnumHMP & YOI Doncaster is a Category B prison and it predominantly serves the courts of South Yorkshire and currently holds up to 1,145 male prisoners over the age of 18. We are located in the centre of Doncaster Town Centre within walking distance of the railway station and bus station. As a resettlement prison we work with our prisoners, particularly those serving less than 12-months, to ensure that they have the support they need for resettlement as well as access to the services and support available to them after release. Most of our prisoners are released back into South Yorkshire.We have a great opportunity for a Training, Skills, and Employment Administrator to join our team on a full-time basis. The post holder will be responsible for providing administrative support including invoicing, and internal P&L reports for the Education, Skills, and Work function at HMP Doncaster. This role will also carry out the monthly calculations and invoices for medical escorts/bed watches charges.This position will develop to understand and have oversight of the onsite prisoner pay policy, month end financial reports, petty cash and third-party contracts.Some of the key duties for this role will include:
  • Raising invoices in an accurate and timely manner for industries sales and Medical Escorts, Bed Watches and Constant Observations.
  • Customer management control of HMP Doncaster’s preferred customer accounts and the creation of new customers, dealing with all queries and customer relations.
  • Creating and collating monthly P&L reports exported from SAP for Business Enterprises
  • Manage buying and relationships with suppliers with respect to invoices and timely payments (30 days)
  • Support and document the work of the onsite finance and prisoner pay.
  • They will be accountable for the Development of the Monthly Finance Bilat Report
  • Tracking and Monitoring spends within the function is a key aspect of the position
  • Supporting the RID function in the necessary cross charges and purchasing across the Jail
  • Oversight and tracking performance of the Print and Textiles Function (Financially & Contractually)
  • Development and renewal of contracts associated with third party companies

The successful post holder must be motivated, have attention to detail and demonstrate clear communication skills as this is essential for this role.The successful candidate must be have experience in working with external and internal customers. Having previous experience of SAP, particularly raising of invoices and sales orders is important.
