Job OverviewWe are seeking an enthusiastic and efficient Administrative Assistant to join our Department of Nutrition & Dietetics in Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton.This is an interesting, busy and varied post covering a range of duties including providing a reception service, audio/copy typing, outpatient clinic bookings and other administrative tasks.Part-time hours would be considered for the right candidate.If you want to apply for this post please do so as soon as possible as we reserve the right to close to applicants before the closing date if sufficient applications have been received.Main duties of the jobAs a member of the admin team you will work with/under the direction of a Band 3 Secretary providing valuable admin support to the team of Dietitians, Nutrition Nurse Specialists and the Clinical Lead for the Department.You will be providing the reception duties for the team, and as the first point of contact for patients you will need to have excellent communication skills both on the phone and face to face with a friendly approachable manner.Your duties will be varied and you will be required to work flexibly across the department supporting a variety of sub-teams and in different locations across the hospital site.You will need be competent using a range of IT packages, with fast, accurate keyboard skills, and be confident in dealing with the public both face to face and on the telephone.
