Dundee, Edinburgh & Aberdeen

Welcome to Henderson Loggie, where we firmly believe that our success story is written by our amazing people. Our work style is all about being friendly, down-to-earth, and working together as a team. We’re thrilled to connect with individuals who resonate with our values and are committed to delivering top-tier client service.

We’re on the lookout for experienced Accounts Assistants to join our fantastic team in Dundee, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. If you have previous experience working in a practice and a knack for preparing management and financial accounting, combined with a genuine passion for cloud accounting and top-notch organisational skills, then you might just be the perfect fit.

What are we looking for?

  • An individual who is ready to put their accounting skills to work as you prepare annual accounts for a diverse range of entities – from dynamic limited companies and partnerships to dedicated sole traders.
  • You’ll have the chance to use/expand your skills in handling independent examinations for charities and preparing monthly/quarterly management accounts for clients across various sectors.
  • You’ll be in direct contact with our clients, ensuring their satisfaction and answering any queries that arise. Your exceptional service not only strengthens our firm’s reputation but also uncovers potential avenues for new business. Your role is more than numbers; it’s about building relationships and cultivating opportunities.

Our ideal candidate will be:

  • AAT qualified or have equivalent experience. If you’re still studying towards a professional qualification, don’t worry, because we offer study support to help you achieve your goals
  • It would be fantastic if you have previous experience in accounts preparation within a professional practice, but what really matters to us is your enthusiasm and drive.
  • Strong numerical and data analysis skills are a must, as is the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and meet tight deadlines
  • We value building effective relationships, both with our clients and our colleagues, so excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key.
  • Being client-driven and commercially aware is essential for this role
  • If you’re computer literate and have experience with accounts production software like Xero and Sage, that’s a big plus!
