Position: Accounts Assistant
Location: Strood, Kent
Salary: £23,000 - £30,000 (Depending on experience) THE COMPANY Our client is a highly experienced internal fit-out and construction company, boasting a remarkable track record of over two decades in the industry. To support their growth trajectory, they are seeking to strengthen their team by welcoming a skilled and dedicated Accounts Administrator on board. THE JOB An accounts assistant plays a vital role in supporting the financial operations of a company. With meticulous attention to detail and strong numerical skills, they assist in various accounting tasks such as managing invoices, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining financial records. Additionally, they may assist with payroll, expense tracking, and budgeting activities. A competent accounts assistant ensures accuracy and compliance with financial regulations while providing valuable support to the finance team. They contribute to the smooth functioning of the company’s financial processes, helping to maintain financial stability and facilitate informed decision-making. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR The role of an accounts assistant encompasses a range of responsibilities essential for efficient financial operations. On a daily basis, they handle tasks such as processing payments, performing bank reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. They are also involved in the processing of VAT, CIS, and payroll, with the company providing training if necessary. Moreover, they contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis activities, playing a key role in cash flow forecasting. Credit control and risk management are also part of their responsibilities, ensuring financial stability and mitigating potential risks. They are skilled in using Sage Line 50, a proficient accounting software. In addition to their accounting duties, they provide general administrative support and assist surveyors with job costing. Overall, their expertise in accounts production up to trial balance ensures the smooth functioning of financial processes within the organization.
