The Board of Trustees at the Apollo Partnership Trust are seeking to appoint an Academy Business Manager at The Castle Rock School in Coalville, Leicestershire.

Full-time, 37 hours per week

Permanent

Grade 12 Actual Salary range: £36,771 to £40,491

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Leadership Team of The Castle Rock School. This role oversees the Finance, Human Resource, Estates and Health and Safety Teams of the school as part of the Apollo Partnership Trust.

The successful candidate will have experience of successfully leading a team in a busy and at times pressurised environment, excellent organisation, communication and ICT skills, as well as being part of the Leadership Team of the school.

Experience of working in a school is desirable, however more importantly, the drive and passion to support our Trust values and young people is essential.

Experience Knowledge And Skills Will Include
  • Budget management skills
  • Sound knowledge of specialist work areas within education
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of school processes and functions specialist software/web based systems, policies and regulations- such as financial standards, purchasing, procurement and catering
  • Work within define regulations and procedures but require own judgement
  • Longer term planning forward (specifically financial and premises)
  • Staff management, including recruitment, training, performance and absence management
  • Can provide day to day management of schools’ budgetary systems and admin functions such as HR activity, contracts and tendering; premises, site safety and development
  • Can provide support to the Head in particular support and influence strategic planning in key areas of responsibility
  • Ability to communicate regularly and effectively with a wide range of school colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Ability to negotiate, manage and monitor contracts and tenders
