KS2 1:1 Teaching Assistant needed in Lancaster (LA1)
  • Full-time opportunity available in a ‘GOOD’ Primary School from May.
  • Mon- Fri- 8:30-15:30.
  • Onsite parking and links to public transport.
  • Relevant and recent experience working with children is essential.
A Primary School in Lancaster has requested the help of Teaching Personnel to recruit a Teaching Assistant to provide individual support in one of their Year 1 classes. The role is will until the end of the academic year with the potential to roll onto a full-time contract from September 2023.The school leads have commented that they are looking for a positive and proactive Teaching Assistant, who will be confident in their ability to face challenges and make a positive impact on children’s learning. The school is a larger than average Primary School supporting learners with varying needs and abilities, so the ideal Teaching Assistant will be comfortable providing care to children with SEN, and delivering interventions to a child within the class who has Autism. The child is non-verbal therefore there is focus on supporting language development.This is a great opportunity to gain experience working in schools and to work with a supportive team who are eager to provide consistent feedback.Prior experience working in Primary Schools is not essential for this role, however the school are looking for individuals who have supported children in a work setting i.e. Nursery, care/support work.To Be Considered For This Role, You Will Have
  • Relevant qualification.
  • Experience supporting primary aged children.
  • Have knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • Be adaptable and have good behavioural management skills.
  • Be a patient and adaptable individual ready for your next role in Primary Schools.
