About the role:

This is a stand-alone Video Content Producer role, and as such, a self-sufficient, ‘generalist’ skillset’s required to succeed. Your responsibilities will be to produce branded and commercial content for our marketing & brand teams, ultimately helping to produce, shoot and edit our future campaign videos. Working as a member of the Brand & Creative team and in doing so, meeting the wider marketing teams needs, your content will be showcased across multiple platforms to promote our brand and drive the firm’s preference as an advisor & service provider.


Reporting to the Head of Brand & Creative, you’ll manage the entire production process from brainstorming to shooting and editing through to publishing. You’ll be based from our HQ in Northampton with full flexibility to work remotely whenever feasible and required.


Working with our Head of Brand and Marketing Director for marketing and employer brand content and our Sector Heads for technical content, you’ll also be working closely with our Client Service Directors to identify opportunities to produce content. You’ll receive briefs from the team to translate factual, technical information into accessible content for our prospects and our clients and as result, will learn our service offering inside-out.


You’ll have a front row seat in line with our national expansion, working side-by-side with our wider marketing team to drive the business forward and deliver on our 3 Year Plan. The role will give you the opportunity to ‘own’ your department, whilst being guided and supported by our senior team, to ensure you achieve your full potential.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead full video production process including conceptualisation, storyboarding, scheduling, filming, and post-editing.
  • Editing (both video and audio) using Premiere Pro, After Effects.
  • ‘Sell’ through video using direct response marketing.
  • Craft engaging branded and commercial stories across a range of platforms. (LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram etc).
  • Overall management and accountability of projects, often required against tight deadlines.
  • Produce content in-line with company values DISTINCTIVE – INCLUSIVE – VALUABLE – COURAGEOUS and brand Tone of Voice.
  • Maintain our in-house equipment in Northampton and help build the business case for investment in new equipment.
  • Pitch your video concepts to the marketing and client teams and other key stakeholders.
  • Continually question the status quo and work to improve our communications.
  • Arrange and organise shoot logistics - prepare scripts, interview questions, location and communicate with key stakeholders to ensure the production runs smoothly.
  • ‘Scout’ for suitable locations, obtain the necessary permits and set up filming and facilities when required.
  • Manage all relevant video assets including high and low-end quality.
  • Set up and break down cameras, audio recorders, lighting, microphones.
  • Analyse and report on the success of your content according to views, brand & information retention and other KPIs.


About you:

  • Professional experience as a Videographer, Editor, or Video Producer, within a B2B Brand or through relevant freelance work.
  • Proven track record of producing video content to a high level (including scripting, producing and editing).
  • Ability to communicate complicated information in a simple and engaging way.
  • Ability to shape a brief to deliver on project goals and pitch final products back to stakeholders.
  • Fluency in the Adobe Suite including PP, AE, PS, AI.
  • Experience in After Effects and how graphics fit into the post-production process.
  • Excellent problem-solving skillset - thinking strategically about an approach to deliver the content solution to a wider customer base.
  • Potential to quickly become recognised as a collaborative, ‘ safe pair of hands’.
  • Ability to work independently and part of a face to face or remote team
  • Are not phased by working under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of and enthusiasm for LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
  • Strong passion for the work. As part of the creative team the ideal candidate will treat every edit as an opportunity to create the best work possible.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in videography or a related field of study is preferred but not essential
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in a B2B organization (or on B2B brands as a freelance) with an excellent portfolio to showcase as part of your CV.
