Our well established, reputable client based in Halifax, West Yorks. are looking to recruit a PART TIMESHEQ Administrator to support compliance operations throughout the business, ensuring regulatory and standard requirements are met.

THE ROLE:

  • Assist with the implementation of new or existing SHEQ related legislation, rules a nd Company standards to include fire prevention, health and safety awareness training, inspections of Company site.
  • Complete site inspections
  • Assist with ensuring compliance on waste management, including, ensuring waste consignment notes are recorded and filed.
  • Record and monitor near miss, adverse event, observations, and opportunities for improvement, and ensuring corrective actions are as-signed and completed
  • Administrating the companies Concern system though recording and reminding those involved with the investigation of concerns and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
  • Work with contractors to ensure safety and compliance standards are met
  • Arranging, sending reminders, note taking, preparing minutes and publishing minutes for SHEQ meetings
  • Complete site safety and compliance related inspections and audits
  • Scan and file compliance records and quality documents
  • Assisting and administrating the document control system, including monitoring review dates and working with departmental managers to ensure documentation is adequately reviewed and published.
  • Assisting and administrating the compliance related external inspections and calibrations systems
  • To assist in retaining all current SHEQ accreditations and work towards the attainment of new accreditations
  • Assisting in the risk management systems, including, working with departmental managers to ensure the completion of risk assessments
  • Daily inspections and organization of customer facing area
  • Other ad hoc duties as required by the company
  • Maintain awareness and keep updated updated with any changes that would affect with any changes that would affect the the company
  • To act as a professional and positive ambassador for the company

THE CANDIDATE:

  • Essential full working knowledge of Microsoft office suite to include day to day experience of excel sheets
  • Excellent report writing skills and document management
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to learn
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • The ability to interact with people at all levels within the company
  • The ability to self prioritize workloads effectively
  • Experience in a similar industry
  • Experience in office or administrative role
  • IOSH working safely or similar (desirable)
  • Experience with quality standards (ISO 9001)
  • Experience in working with environmental standards (ISO 14001)

THE SALARY AND BENEFITS:

  • £22,000.00 Per Annum (pro rata) rising to £24,000.00 (pro rata) once trained.
  • Monday to Friday 9:30 - 2:30, 25 hours per week
  • 22 days holiday + Bank Holidays
