As our Senior Technical Specialist,you will support, promote and develop Directory Services, which are primarily based around the Microsoft technology stack. The role will influence the delivery of architectural direction future state through strong collaboration, development or technical designs and associated builds with your colleagues.

Key responsibilities of our Senior Technical Specialist include:

- Leading detailed design and development of service-specific roadmaps

- Collaborating with Vitality technical teams and 3rd party service providers in the design, build and operation of Vitality IT services

- Identifying opportunities to optimise return on investment, efficiency, reliability, and simplicity of services

- Developing and maintaining perspectives established and emerging technologies

- Planning, managing and performing major version upgrades

- Being responsible for the day to day support and service delivery including Incident management and service request fulfilment acting as SME and escalation point

- Automating and orchestrating the delivery of services where appropriate

- Creating and maintaining documentation

- Sharing knowledge and actively mentoring less experienced members of the team

- Identifying, socialising and implementing best practices as they emerge

Skills and experience we are looking for in our Senior Technical Specialist:

- Practical experience of leading collaboration across different teams and disciplines to deliver the best possible outcomes

- The ability to identify and instil industry best practices

- Demonstrable ability to consider and articulate the interdependencies of IT services and technologies

- An inquisitive and engaging personality that looks to innovate and continuously improve to deliver the best possible experience to our customers

- The ability to prioritise and work under pressure while taking ownership of issues

- The ability to translate technical issues into understandable business language for end-users

- A Team Player and collaborative leader with a “can do” attitude, capable of overcoming difficult challenges

- An excellent communicator with the ability to maintain open communication with internal employees, contractors, managers, 3rd parties, and customers as needed
