Overall Summary of the Role

To support the UK Head of HR and UK HR Business Partner in the provision of a first class service in respect of HR & Payroll related matters by ensuring all tasks are completed in an efficient, accurate and timely manner, in accordance with policy and procedure.

This role would suit someone with Payroll experience and/or someone passionate about working in payroll, as predominantly the role will be payroll focused. Some Excel experience would be advantageous.

This is a part time position, working circa 15-20 hours per week. Flexibility around daily start and end time(s).

List of Duties(not limited to):

  • Data Input and management of two monthly payrolls via outsourced Payroll Specialist
  • Undertake all payroll activities such as processing of starters, leavers, changes to terms and conditions of employment, overtime, attachment of earnings, adjustments etc
  • Sole Management of Time and Attendance System, creating new starter profiles and extraction of data for payroll purposes
  • Dealing with all employee queries relating to Payroll, Time/Attendance and related systems
  • The completion of payroll and finance reconciliations as required, and liaising with the payroll service provider and finance of statutory reporting and documentation.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate issuing of payslips and other payroll generated documents such as P45’s and P60’s
  • Liaise with all departments, divisions and colleagues to collate all relevant payroll data for input on a monthly basis in line with strict deadlines
  • Creating and Maintaining Personnel Records
  • Updatingmaintaining HR and Payroll systems as and when required to ensure all data held is relevant, accurate and up to date
  • Diarise and co-ordinate probationary reviews for all new starters
  • Management of all References (requesting and responding)
  • Absence Management: Be responsible for the process by ensuring HR are in receipt of fit notes and return to works and all absence is recorded on the relevant systems, bringing to the HRBP’s attention any breaches to procedure, long term absence, high absenteeism and/or patterns of absence
  • Other Adhoc Tasks, such as Driving Licence Checks, Ordering Uniform/business cards and responding to Fine/Penalty Charges
