An excellent opportunity has arisen for a HR Administrator to join Hadland Care Group at our Head Office in Southbourne. This is an exciting opportunity to begin your HR career with an expanding employer! This is an ideal role for someone looking to take their first steps within a career in Human Resources.

Established over 25 years ago, Hadland Care Group is a group of two companies, Tops Day Nurseries and Aspire Training Team. Operating throughout Dorset, Hampshire, Somerset, Wiltshire and Devon supplying care at every stage, via the provision of nursery care for children and vocational training.

This role will involve supporting all aspects of administration within our HR department; we are a positive and proactive team, who pride ourselves on serving over 700 colleagues with relevant information regarding their employment.

About You

You will not need to have had previous HR experience to be considered for this role, however you will need to have strong previous experience within an administrative role, where accuracy and time-keeping were of paramount importance.

We are looking for someone who can not only work independently, but can also work well as a team and have a real passion for developing your career within HR. You will have strong written and oral communication skills, and be able to prioritise your workload effectively.

If you are working towards your CIPD Level 3 this is advantageous however by no means necessary. You must also have had experience using and maintaining internal databases, and must have strong IT skills in Microsoft packages (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).

Your Responsibilities and Duties will involve:

  • Creating and sending Job Offer letters to new employees
  • Gathering and contacting references for new employees
  • Ensuring new employees are compliant with Right to Work legislation
  • Ensuring new employees have a company email address set up and VLE Accounts registered
  • Creating and sending contracts of employment to new employees
  • Recording annual leave requests and sending Holidays reports over to relevant line manager
  • Responsible for running quarterly holiday balance reviews and inform staff regarding holiday allowance
  • Support with monthly wages checks in line with payroll
  • Ad hoc HR letters and updating/creating forms when requester or required
  • Support the HR department with scanning, data input, photocopying and answering the telephone
