An exciting new opportunity exists for a motivated Physiotherapist/Nurse with a special interest in chronic pain to work within the Southport & Formby Community Pain Service. With highly specialist clinical skills in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal and chronic pain conditions, you will have appropriate postgraduate training or equivalent experience relevant to the speciality of persistent pain, with an advanced knowledge of evidence based practice in the field of chronic pain. You will be an excellent communicator with well-developed management skills and excellent leadership qualities. You will also be a forward-thinking team player, with a proven track record of innovative approaches in pain management. You will provide expert clinical practice, education, training and support to a wide range of allied health professionals to effectively manage patients with persistent pain. In partnership with the multidisciplinary pain management service, you will play a pivotal role in the pain service to establish new and innovative pathways of care, bringing influence to strategic direction in the field of persistent pain for the benefit of patients. The primary function of the role is to provide leadership and management for the team, ensuring the delivery of efficient, effective, co-ordinated and responsive high quality care to patients/clients.

The Clinical Team Manager will provide clinical leadership and operational management to the team as well as playing a key role in the development of the service. They will be expected to work autonomously ensuring the overall standards of the service are maintained.

The Pain Service is committed to delivering a high quality service in this ever-changing environment. You will be required to provide a strong leadership role within the team and to lead service improvement, audit and other activities to deliver an efficient and effective service with excellent clinical outcomes for Chronic Pain patients.

The successful individual will have significant evidence of appropriate post-graduate development and demonstrate the drive to develop and learn in order to improve care and services for our patients.
