Here at Plantec, part of the Examworks family, we are looking to recruit a number of Claims Handlers to work in our Onhire Team.

We are an accident management specialist dealing specifically with motorcycles.

What will I be doing?

You will be responsible for handling a case load of accident claims involving credit hire and repair. You will pursue the third-party insurers for an admission of liability and to authorise repairs to our client’s vehicle or pay out the total loss value in the event of a total loss. You will pursue the claim until the hire period ends and the claim is invoiced to the responsible insurer. All claims are professionally and swiftly dealt with, whilst always enhancing business processes and achieving business objectives.

As a Claims Handler Your Main Responsibilities Would Be
  • Making assessments on liability.
  • Liaising with client’s and witnesses to establish the accident circumstances.
  • Communicating with client’s, the responsible party, their insurance, solicitors, and various other parties involved in the claims process.
  • Utilising our case management system.
  • Formulating liability arguments in the event of a liability dispute using applicable case law.
  • Establishing working relationships with your fellow team members and referrers alike.
  • Answering calls effectively in a profession manner.
  • Ensuring claim data is accurately recorded on our bespoke case management system.
  • Providing high levels of customer service.
  • Adopting a pro-active approach to claims handling.
  • Working to agreed set KPI’s.
What We Ask Of You

You would not need previous experience in a similar role or industry, but we would ask that you are a courteous and professional team player, with good communication skills, both verbally and written and that you are computer literate. You will be expected to be proactive and efficient to minimise any delays in the claims process and to ensure we continue our tradition of delivering first class customer service to our client’s and external sources.
