CIB DPS - Network Management - Network Program Associate - Associate (601)

Network Management is a global function within Digital & Platform Services (DPS) of the CIB responsible for managing J.P. Morgan’s network of agent banks and financial market infrastructures (FMIs) to meet the firm’s requirements for oversight of cash and securities services for principal and client activities. The network of providers includes banks, sub custodians, payment systems, central counterparties, securities depositories and cheque clearing systems.

Network Management has over 200 staff in multiple locations, a commitment to diversity (including a 47:53 male: female ratio *) and provides coverage across global markets and to selected clients. While the group resides within the CIB, it supports multiple J.P. Morgan’s lines of business including Corporate & Investment Bank (Global Markets; Securities Services; Wholesale Payments), Asset & Wealth Management, Commercial Bank and Consumer & Community Banking.

This is an exciting, individual contributor, opportunity for a motivated individual to join the Network Management Program team which is accountable for the timely execution of projects. The projects could be driven from the lines of business themselves and relate to initiatives such as driving end-to-end efficiency, new product offerings and optimization or relate to a regulatory requirement which involves co-ordination across the Network. T his role will require end to end partnership and liaison with the various Network Management teams and key stakeholders, including Operations, Compliance, Risk and Legal across multiple lines of businesses.

The role is based in Bournemouth, which is home to the largest Network Management footprint including representation, not just from the Network Management Program team but Network Market Management, Network Performance Management, Network Client Consulting and more.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Coordination and management of project plans, scorecard reporting
  • Development and enhancement of dashboards to track and report programs of work
  • Collation and reporting of any program risks to Head of Program Management
  • Tracking and reporting project benefits
  • Prepare program/project management updates for Network Management team and the Lines of Business
  • Ensure best practices adopted for all programs of work to ensure quality deliverables to stakeholders
  • Support Project Managers with co-ordination of activities to ensure timely completion of tasks/deliverables
  • Assist with the completion of projects across the various Lines of Business
  • Assist with embedding any project outcomes into functional processes/procedures (where relevant)
  • Partner closely with various Network Management teams and other stakeholders

Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Ability to demonstrate structured project and program management methodologies and techniques
  • Line of business experience in securities or cash
  • Strong problem solving, interpretative and presentation skills
  • Attention to detail - ability to identify interdependencies and risks
  • Ability to organize, plan, prioritise and manage multiple tasks
  • Focus on process improvement to enhance quality
  • Strong partnership and communication skills at all levels
  • Team player and work under pressure in a dynamic business environment.
