  • Looking for a talented Business Systems Engineer to join the team.

    • About Our Client

    This role will support, maintain and make incremental changes to existing applications / systems by following current development and support practices, to maintain the operational performance of business-critical systems. The Business Systems Engineer (BSE) will operate as part of a multi-disciplinary Squad (c. 10 people) and will work with IT Service to support existing systems, including any required deployments of software into production, and support the resolution of incidents and operational tickets.

    Business Systems Analyst, Halifax Will Support With
    • Engage in code reviews with understanding of code quality and focus on developing/managing technical documentation to agreed standards
    • Work with the team to support in scrum events, be present for daily stand ups, support with demo’s and scrum events
    • Act as a mentor to apprentices and trainees within your team
    • Work within internal best practice to ensure test driven development and behaviour driven development principles are followed


    The Successful Applicant

    Desired Skills / Traits

    Business Systems Analyst, Halifax will have:
    • Have previous experience within development and configuration within technologies / languages / frameworks / systems, including: C#, VB.Net, JavaScript, React JS, ASP.NET, WCF, Web API, Adabas Natural, and Sharepoint, Pitney Bowes Dialogue, Engage One, HQ
    • The ability to translate, write and document business requirements into code / configuration of systems, which caters to browser / device / responsive design
    • Good knowledge of the software development lifecycle
    • Good level of OOP understanding and able to implement SOLID / DRY / Gang of Four principles
    • Understand dependency injection / dependency graph
    • Ability to develop unit and integration tests, or follow this approach with any configuration activities
    • Ability to work collaboratively with the team and communicate technical concepts using plain language
    • Strong understanding of agile software development methodology / methodologies
    • Demonstrate a good understanding of design patterns
    • Good comprehension of databases and data-driven design
