Accounts Apprentice

SUMMARY

Based at the EBC Brakes World HQ in Northampton, the Accounts Apprentice will start from the bottom as they work towards the level 2 AAT qualification. Through the course of the initial 12-15 month apprenticeship you will gain solid work experience which will initially include:

• Purchase & sales ledgers
• Double-entry bookkeeping
• Basic costing
• Journals
• Banking
• Other financial administration.

Once you have completed the Level 2 Apprenticeship, you will be given the opportunity to progress to Level 3 AAT qualification which includes progression to final accounts preparation and analysis in future years.

• Excellent attention to detail and highly organised;
• Ability to listen to and follow instructions accurately.

Personal Qualities:

• Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual;
• Enthusiastic;
• Eagerness to learn and develop personal skill set.

Desired qualifications:

• GCSE and/or A-Levels in subjects such as Finance, Business Studies or Economics (one or more) but not essential;
• Essential: Maths GCSE grade 5 or above.
