Support Worker - young people

LOCATION: Frome

SALARY: £10 -11.15 PAYE

DURATION: 2 months+

HOURS: 37.5

Are you a proactive support worker with a passion for supporting young people and encouraging them to be set up with the right life skills for independent living? If so, a registered charity that specialises in the support of vulnerable young people is looking to speak with you!

This role will see you managing a caseload of young people across Somerset. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young people and will be well versed in housing management, multi-agency working and hold up to date knowledge on housing benefits.

Some Day To Day Duties Will Include
  • Oversee dispersed properties and a varied caseload of young people.
  • Responsible for housing management and ensure young people are aware of their responsibilities as a tenant.
  • Tenancy management and dealing with ASB / evictions/ preparing paperwork for court.
  • Signpost residents to other services.
  • Complete regular health and safety checks / fire alarm checks.
  • Maximize income and help young people apply for funding / grants.
