The Yard person will take responsibility for the running of the Lane Britton and Jenkins yard facility. The role will require ensuring all materials within the yard are in order and catalogued. Working with the Buyer, the yards person will distribute materials to each site as well as collect materials in to put back into storage until used.
The Yard Person will ensure all sites are kept in order and will be responsible for the labourers to help do so.

They will maintain the yard and ensure all slips. pallets and other materials are correctly disposed of.

Any deliveries of materials to the yard will be the yard persons responsibility to then distribute, whilst ensuring the materials are as the purchase order and quality required. The yards person will also be responsible for ensuring materials that do not meet the above sent to site get back to the distributor and the process logged and followed back to the company buyer.

To unlock/ lock up the yard and sites as required
To ensure Lane Britton and Jenkins policies and procedures are adhered to
Person Specification/Knowledge and experience desirable

Experience of working in a similar role.
Driving and yard responsibilities.
Knowledge of good practice relating to health and safety regulations
Mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance
Knowledge of front loader tractor use

Skills

A full clean driving licence
Experienced and confident in towing trailers
Able to work on own initiative and alone working
Good time management
Highly organised with attention to detail
To take pride in appearance of the yard at all times
