Due to company growth and additional investment within our Engineering department. We have an exciting opportunity for x4 Shift Electrical Engineering Technicians. These technician roles will operate on a 4 on 4 off shift rotation pattern consisting of 4 days and then 4 nights with working hours of 07:00 -19:00 & 19:00 - 07:00. Reporting into the Engineering Manager, these roles will play an essential part in supporting our daily operations.

About the Role:

  • To provide technical support to the shift engineering team, reactive and proactive engineering work as required
  • Advise as a shift expert in Electrical engineering as and when required
  • To provide hands on technical support whenever necessary to reduce engineering downtime and deliver maintenance plan
  • To carry out root cause analysis on worst performing assets and own any actions generated
  • To coordinate, plan and deliver training to engineers to assist with developing capability in the engineering teams
  • To own and maintain the Preventative and Planned maintenance schedules in line with OEE KPI’s
  • To identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives and projects to eliminate waste in terms of time, money, product and effort
  • To ensure excellent communication within engineering and across other functions in terms of engineering work
  • To ensure adherence to company and sites HS&E rules and guidance in all of the above
  • To continually develop and improve to offer technical support across all disciplines

Skills & Experience required:

  • Time served Electrical /Electronic Engineer
  • HNC or equivalent in relevant discipline
  • Experience of FMCG environment and equipment
  • Electrical systems and installation experience and training
  • Excellent communicator
  • Experience in training people
  • PC skills (Microsoft office, CMMS, SAP)
  • Understanding of Maintenance systems and strategies, Lean principles desirable
  • Understanding of H&S, IOSH desirable
  • Multi or cross skilled training desirable
