WORKSHOP MECHANICAL SUPERVISOR

ENGINEERING INDUSTRY

Workshop - ALLOA

Requirements: People -Supervision of the Bay 1 winders & fitters, Bay 3 Fab shop, Bay 4 WIP storage and Bay 5 Coatings Team, ensuring our people work safely each day. Development of personnel to drive efficiencies and create high performing teams.

Product –Responsible for the flow of pumps, submersible motors & pump sets and hydro machines through the workshops and their overhaul cycle. Ensuring the job is done on time and right first time. Being Pro-active in kitting of mtls, allocation of resource and mitigation of potential error traps are crucial to deliver a quality product.

Department / Facility –Responsible for housekeeping and layout of the workshops. Using monthly 5 s audits to verify the required high standard of housekeeping

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience within a rotating machinery repair shop including fitting knowledge. M/C shop experience would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Supervisor and people management experience essential.
  • Preferably a time served mechanical fitter or machinist.
  • Experience of troubleshooting on site is advantageous
  • Must have extensive knowledge of pumps, submersible motors.
  • General computer capabilities with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)

Education:

  • Time served craftsperson within a mechanical discipline. Educated to NVQ Level 3 in mechanical maintenance
