We are looking for a skilled and reliable Fitter to join our team.

Our work is varied and interesting. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the refurbishment, repair and maintenance, including methodically stripping down and rebuilding various capital equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the refurbishment, repair, maintenance, and rebuilding of various machinery
  • Strip down and rebuild machinery as required
  • Perform welding and mechanical engineering tasks as needed
  • Manufacture hydraulic hoses to pattern
  • Follow safety procedures and regulations at all times
  • Keep the workshop clean and tidy
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
  • Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors

The ideal candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Workshop Assistant/mechanical fitter or similar
  • Welding and mechanical engineering skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Someone who isn’t scared to get their hands dirty

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 30 per week

Salary: £11.00-£13.00 per hour
