An opportunity has risen for a Workshop Engineer to join our Service team within our Pre-Installation and Refurbishment Centre based in Coalville, Leicestershire.

Your role will be hands on and involve building, pre -configuring devices in preparation for customer delivery, repairs, refurbishing and testing multi- functional devices to our high standards, customer requirements and targets to meet demand.

This is an essential role, ensuring that our award winning products are set up and ready for our customers to use from day one and extending their life cycle.

What we ask

As a workshop engineer, you will be fully trained on all aspects of the job and our products, services and systems, including:

  • Extensive in- house product training to gain the knowledge and skills required to prepare devices for deployment, repair and refurbish our product range.
  • Obtaining and following the correct work instructions, extracting the necessary data/information and related documentation to carry out diagnosis and repairs
  • Using suitable maintenance diagnostic techniques to repair and refurbish equipment.
  • Testing, networking and calibration of devices
  • Identify and deal appropriately with any risks, hazards, hazardous situations and problems that may occur within the engineering environment within the limits of their responsibility
  • Work safely at all times, complying with health and safety legislation, regulations, environmental compliance procedures and systems and other relevant guidelines

You will need

As the Workshop Engineer, you will possess the following skills;

  • Technical mindset and ability to problem solve
  • Interest in electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Attention to detail, work accuracy and quality orientated
  • IT skills, exposure to Microsoft packages and basic networking knowledge
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work effectively in a team to get tasks completed, and understand implications of actions on others and a business
  • Strong initiative, organizational skills and a positive attitude to meet targets
