Workshop Controller – Automotive

Motordepot are now looking to recruit a Workshop Controller to join our team in Scunthorpe.

What will I be responsible for?

Joining the Motordepot team as a Workshop Controller, you will report directly to the Service Manager and will be responsible for the daily performance of the Vehicle Technicians’. In addition you will undertake maintenance and service and repair activities on motor vehicles. Daily responsibilities will also include:

• Managing the teams efficiency;
• Carrying out Quality Checks on their teams work;
• Workshop Health and Safety;
• Working alongside and overseeing the apprentices.

When we recruit for a Workshop Controller we look for individuals who are experienced in all aspects of motor vehicle repair and diagnostics. As our ideal candidate, you will be qualified to a Level 3 standard and will have experience as a Workshop Controller in a busy service department. We also welcome applications from Technicians, who don’t have the relevant experience, who can demonstrate they have the relevant skills and knowledge and have the drive to see a team succeed. Although experience of working in a high volume workshop would be an advantage, this would not be essential to be considered for the role. You must be able to manage a busy team, be diligent and hardworking and ensure the vehicles you inspect are completed to the highest possible standards.
