We are excited to further build a dedicated and sustainable infrastructure with the skills, knowledge and expertise to lead and support workforce strategic development, recruitment and retention and training and development.

This critical capacity will play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe, resilient, knowledgeable and skilled workforce across children’s services, leading to consistent effective practice and positive outcomes for children and their families.

Opportunities include:

  • Workforce Lead LGE02 £61,648: You will be responsible for leading a team to support workforce strategic development and associated systems, processes and workstreams. You will lead and work collaboratively to develop and deliver the Children’s Services Workforce Strategy in the context of the wider Council’s learning and development agenda. You will take a strategic lead role in creating the conditions for the workforce to thrive, across the scope of children’s social care and education and inclusion.
  • Resourcing Specialist NJC23 £32,076: Based in People and Culture you will support in the delivery of the Children’s Services Workforce Strategy, by leading on attracting the right talent to the organisation, ultimately meeting the needs of our Children’s Services, including the children’s social care workforce, education and inclusion.
  • Learning and Development Lead Officer NJC34 £42,403: Based in People and Culture you will be responsible for contributing to the development and delivery of the Children’s Services Workforce Strategy. You will take a lead role in the development and delivery of the training and development programme across the scope of Children’s Services and the Safeguarding Children Partnership as part of AcademyNEL.
  • Learning and Development Advisor x 2 NJC25 £33,954Based in People and Culture you will contribute to the development and delivery of the Children’s Services Workforce Strategy and play a key role in the development and delivery of the training and development programme across the scope of Children’s Services as part of AcademyNEL.
