Main purpose of job: To increase the Organisations presence in the UK social media to ensure they are at the forefront of new and existing detectorists thoughts when it comes to purchasing a metal detector. Whether it is their first metal detector or an upgrade, the organisation wants to be the name they seek. As a social media manager, you will manage their online presence by developing a strategy, producing good content, analysing usage data, facilitating customer service and managing projects and campaigns.

Main Duties
  • Be responsible for developing and implementing the social media strategy for the organisation.
  • Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Tiktok and YouTube, adapting content to suit different channels.
  • Be responsible for content that is engaging, on-brand, error free and in the correct tone of voice.
  • Oversee, plan and deliver content across different platforms using scheduling tools such as Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Asana and Olapic
  • monitor, track, analyse and report on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook insights
  • Run paid ads on Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram, Twitter and other platforms where relevant.
  • Monitor ad performance on a daily basis and report on performance weekly.
  • To manage community relationships with customers who engage on social media platforms, respond to posts and develop discussions and be able to seamlessly pass them over to sales team when ready.
  • Form key relationships with influencers across the social media platforms.
  • develop, launch and manage new competitions and campaigns that promote your organisation and brand.
  • Undertake audience research.
  • research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques in order to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity.
  • analyse competitor activity.
  • recommend improvements to increase performance.
  • set targets to increase brand awareness and increase customer engagement.
  • manage a budget for social media activities.
  • educate other staff on the use of social media and promote its use within your company (in-house roles)
