Excellent opportunity for a traditional Wood Machinist to move into a supervisor / team leading role within a busy manufacturing company. You will work in both a hands- on machining capacity as well as leading and motivating a team to ensure production and quality targets are met and maintained.

The role of Wood Machinist Team Leader will include:
Overseeing and working along side small team of wood machinists
Working on saws, planers, sanders and spindle moulders to produce both large and small batch products to customer orders
Leading, training and motivating your team to achieve set production targets
Ensuring H & S and quality
Managing the workload against the production schedule
Basic machinery maintenance as required
Dealing with day to day production issue
Reporting figures to senior management team

The person:
A confident background in wood working and bench joinery
Able to read and work to drawings
Confident knowledge of tradition machinery and experience of CNC would also b of interest
Some experience of overseeing would be of interest but is not essential
A good communication and motivator of people
Experience working in a targeted production environment
Own transport essential due to location
Looking for a career they can develop in.
Able to train others
