AESN is a leading recruitment agency in the UK, specializing in the Hospitality industry. We are currently seeking experienced and passionate Asian Wok Chefs to join our team and work in various locations across Central London. If you have a flair for Asian cuisine and a desire to create mouthwatering dishes, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook a wide variety of Asian dishes, focusing on wok-tossed specialties. Demonstrate mastery in handling various ingredients and creating authentic flavors.
• Menu Development: Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and refine Asian-inspired menu items. Ensure that dishes meet quality and taste standards.
• Food Safety: Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Handle food with care to prevent contamination.
• Quality Control: Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process, making adjustments as necessary to ensure consistency and taste.
• Ingredient Management: Manage inventory and stock rotation to ensure freshness of ingredients. Place orders for necessary supplies and maintain proper stock levels.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other chefs and kitchen staff to coordinate and expedite orders efficiently. Communicate effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Presentation: Pay attention to the visual presentation of dishes, ensuring that they are plated attractively and meet our restaurant’s standards.
• Customer Satisfaction: Consistently deliver high-quality, flavorful dishes that meet or exceed customer expectations. Address any customer feedback or special requests promptly and professionally.
• Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work station. Participate in regular kitchen cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Asian Wok Chef or similar role.
• A passion for Asian cuisine and a deep understanding of various Asian cooking techniques.
• Full-time right to work in the UK.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
