Wind Service Technicians – Major Component Exchange

£30 - 40k Basic+ Vehicle + Overtime + Call Out (£65k OTE)

Standard 40 Hour Week – UK (North West based)

  • The role is working across a range of various turbine platforms which includes mechanical repairs, lifting and major component exchange work.

The role is diverse and challenging, comprising of the following:

  • Undertake scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing.
  • Carry out corrective maintenance; fault finding, troubleshooting and repair across various wind turbine platforms which will include mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis and repair.
  • Proactive repair or component replacement to prevent complete failure or system downtime ensuring the highest level of plant availability. This includes major component exchange and lifting work.
  • Provide out of hours and weekend response.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
  • Assist in providing solutions to the Technical Manager.
  • Conduct training lessons to enhance other employee’s technical knowledge.
The ideal person will have a mechanical service or maintenance background in the Wind industry and possess excellent fault-finding skills across a broad range of equipment as well as a first-class approach to training and skill development. Full training will be provided as well as a career path to roles such as project management or senior engineer roles.
