Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Wells Intervention Design Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
  • The Well Intervention Design Engineer will focus on Front End maturation of Routine & Non-Routine well interventions.
  • The Well Intervention Engineer is accountable for the independent delivery of the front-end well interventions projects as per the company’s Well Delivery Process for a given well(s), from feasibility through to Detailed Design. The engineer may support the Well Operations Team through the execution phase, including the capturing of learnings and feedback to Well Intervention Engineering House.
  • The Well Intervention Design Engineer will be responsible for ensuring high-quality front-end maturation that can be efficiently executed in line with project value drivers and within estimated time & cost.
  • Well Intervention projects cover Well Optimisation, Restoration & Integrity operations on NPNT & HPHT fields, including offshore platform & subsea assets.
  • Interventions may involve Coil tubing, E-line, Slickline, Stimulation/pumping, Well test & Snubbing activities.
  • The Well Intervention Engineer will be expected to drive continuous improvement initiatives to design efficient & competitive interventions on both time & cost.
  • The engineer will work closely together with the company’s different Asset teams as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as with the Wells Operations team and Well Intervention Engineering House.
  • The Engineer will be required to work with external service partners, external regulators and other key external stakeholders to ensure the Detailed Design is compliant with the company’s & industry standards.
  • The Engineer will integrate HSSE in the design, programming, and execution of well work on CWI operations. Strong focus on HSSE and reduction of GHG emissions should be evident in all activities planned.

Experience & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in Completion and Well Intervention with a proven track record in well design, planning and execution delivery.
  • Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously, often in different teams.
  • Good communicator and ability to work independently and efficiently across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong Diversity and Inclusions values and skills.

  • Innovation / Learning mindset - doing things differently (simplified, efficient worked practices) and/or new technology application.
