Wedding and Events Coordinator

Plas Maenan Country House Hotel is situated on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park between Conwy and Betws-y-coed. This beautiful and picturesque Country House dates back to the late18th Century and is a truly special place, with unparralled views over the Conwy River and Mountains. Having undergone major refurbishment and design that will offer our guests a unique opportunity to enjoy this historic house and spectacular views for bespoke celebratory events that will be memorable.

We are looking for an experienced sales focused Weddings & Events Coordinator to work with the management team to develop the wedding and events side of the business through proactive sales activity, exceeding all customer expectations and to deliver revenue, profitability targets and gain a competitive advantage.

You will have a “can do” attitude, be hardworking and conscientious with attention to details. A professional yet friendly disposition is needed head up this department and build a winning team by increasing exclusive venue hire wedding and events bookings as well as marquee weddings from 2022.

You will have a proven sales background with a good understanding of all social media platforms and sales channels, you will be able to constantly exceed targets and create and review sales & marketing plans. You need to be passionate about your role, have strong communication skills and be highly presentable. A friendly yet professional manner goes a long way within this role as we strive to deliver a personal and welcoming service to all our clients.

The position covers all days of the week including weekends and evenings to meet the needs of the business. Flexibility in working hours is paramount.

Wedding & Events Coordinator duties include but not exhaustive: -

· To source and develop existing and new business

· In-depth experience of the Meeting and Events market

· Actively seeking opportunities to develop own capability to identify and deliver new Meetings and Events business opportunities

· Communicating with the general manager on actions taken to develop business within the hotel/area and ensure a monthly sales meeting is taking place

· Going beyond product needs to discover potential for business process improvements and opportunities that add value for customers

· Taking enquiries / Following up / Seeing the process through from beginning to end.
