We are looking for a specialist in regulatory and policy issues facing blockchain technology, to join our rapidly expanding team. This is a unique opportunity to shape emerging policy and regulation.

This role can be worked remotely, however, frequent travel will be required between London, our Edinburgh office and internationally.

As a Web3 Regulatory & Policy Officer, you will play a crucial role in shaping emergent regulation of distributed ledger-based platforms across the globe. You will ensure our proprietary platform, ENSEMBLE, remains compliant with regulation in our target markets, and work to track and influence regulatory and policy developments in key jurisdictions.

You will collaborate closely with the technology, product development and wider policy teams to implement regulatory best practices in ENSEMBLE’s development and drive continuous improvement.

You will also work closely with marketing and business development to ensure that ENSEMBLE’s regulatory status is appropriately reflected in our marketing and commercial engagement.

As a Regulatory and Policy Officer at Enoda, you’ll spend your time

  • Engaging with governments and regulators to shape regulation around DLT to enable a truly open environment for development of Web3 technologies, enabling not only Enoda’s technology but a healthy innovation ecosystem
  • As a member of the policy and global affairs team, you will also be expected to contribute to monitoring and engagement on a wider range of policy issues in the country in which you are based, to represent Enoda across the full range of policy issues with relevant local stakeholders and develop and maintain a network of local policymakers, regulators and other key stakeholders
  • Monitoring and evaluating US, EU, UK and international legislation, policy and regulation in digital assets, cryptocurrencies, Stablecoins and other implementations of DLT
  • Identify trends in emerging regulation and policy, including risks to and opportunities for Enoda
  • Interpreting regulatory analysis for non-policy audiences, including both technical and commercial colleagues
  • Collaborating with the platform development team to optimise platform design for regulatory compliance and future-proofing
  • Developing and maintaining Enoda’s global network of Web3 policymakers, regulators and influencers
  • Publishing on areas of expertise to consolidate Enoda’s position as a respected thought leader in the blockchain space
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to wider team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture within the organization


The key experience we’re looking for

  • A deep technical understanding of the current regulatory landscape across the EU and US for Web3 products, and an awareness of regulatory trends in the space
  • 3+ years of experience in regulation or policy development or advisory
  • Significant experience working on issues relating to Web3 technologies
  • Experience working in/with government to achieve desired policy outcomes
  • Ability to see policy debates from multiple perspectives and engage productively with stakeholders with different perspectives from across the political spectrum
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with senior policymaker
  • Experience with briefing non-policy audiences on complex policy or regulation subject
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A willingness to develop new proficiencies by collaborating with experts in other subject areas


Additional skills & experience relevant to the role

  • Familiarity with blockchain technologies usage within the energy system
  • Experience with a range of Web3 technologies, ideally to include CometBFT and Cosmos SDK
  • Experience engaging with relevant regulators, ideally including the SEC
  • Experience writing accessible publications on technical subjects
  • Understanding of security considerations with respect to using DLT in critical national infrastructure
  • Ability to see policy debates from multiple perspectives and engage productively with stakeholders with different perspectives from across the political spectrum
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with senior policymakers
