You will work maintaining and developing our Project Portal, the web interface through which our partners submit grant applications, grant claims and project updates.

About the role
We have an opportunity for you to further your IT career as our Web Developer, based in Scotland. You will work maintaining and developing our Project Portal, the web interface through which our partners submit grant applications, grant claims and project updates.
You will work with the Lead Web Developer to develop and update functionality on the Project Portal and help fix any issues and bugs.
The work will also involve acting as a key contact for system users, recording issues and bugs, assisting with testing, and assisting with the creation and updating of user documentation, ensuring your guidance is easily understandable to those with less technical knowledge.

About you
You should have:

  • experience in programming database connected website-based applications
  • knowledge of computer programming languages such as .net (C or VB), Javascript or Linq
  • knowledge of SQL databases.

In addition, you must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to service users, both over calls and in writing.
You will have the ability to discuss issues and clearly provide instructions using language that is appropriate for those without an IT skillset.
