OverviewWithin a Wealth risk mitigating environment office environment, serves as subject matter expert for key administrative activities completed within the team or business line. Applies practical experience and industry expertise to execute a specific Wealth administrative function, while focusing on compliance and risk mitigation.Primary Responsibilities
  • Analyze and interpret Wealth documents and apply fiduciary, legal and statutory knowledge and experience to execute certain administrative functions.
  • Communicate with internal and external business partners and related service partners as required. Serve as primary subject matter expert for a key administrative process, providing guidance to less experienced personnel on the process.
  • Escalate or resolve non-standard or high risk exceptions as appropriate; serve as escalation point for activities falling within subject matter expertise to support their timely resolution.
  • Work independently to complete processing of complex Wealth administrative requirements in a timely, accurate and compliant manner.
  • Contribute ideas for process improvements to improve efficiency of activities.
  • Identify, report and escalate all risk and compliance issues, breaches and suspicious activities to ensure management awareness of them.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.
Scope Of ResponsibilitiesThis position serves in a middle office environment as part of the Administrative Services Unit. The job holder works with autonomy and has less daily oversight.Education And Experience RequiredBachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years’ financial services work experience,OR in lieu of a degree,A combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ financial services work experienceDemonstrated success operating in a team environmentExperience using pertinent word processing and spreadsheet softwareAvailability to work a flexible schedule as neededEffective communication skillsSelf-motivatedWell-organizedEducation And Experience PreferredAdvanced degree (JD Juris Doctor)Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or StatisticsCertified Financial Planner (CFP) and/or Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (CTFA) designationMinimum Of 5 Years’ Financial Services Industry ExperienceUnderstanding of Wealth Management and/or Capital Markets businessesKnowledge of the Bank’s systems and cultureAbility to work under time constraintsAttention to detailGood organizational skillsGood communication skillsLocationWilmington, Delaware, United States of America
