Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Company Car or Car Allowance, with business fuel mileage covered. With 20 years of leading industry experience, SMS Environmental Ltd provide vital water hygiene services to domestic and commercial sectors throughout the UK. Due to a pivotal contract win, and continual company expansion, we are now hiring for a new Account Manager with a positive, constructive, and caring approach to join our successful Account Management operations. Managing the lead of major contract worth circa £650k, you will lead exceptional stakeholder management, gap analysis and remedial works to maximise contract value, whilst handling additional company contracts across a portfolio worth £1M+. Partnering with our collaborative, friendly team, you will ensure high levels of customer service, compliance, and contract administrative support to excelled levels. Travel to clients’ sites will be a key part of our role, so flexibility is required. Additionally, we would ask if you could support us to achieve operational KPI’s through delivery of PPMs. Our role is office based from our Head Office in Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, just off A34 Chilton Interchange, near Didcot, South Oxfordshire. Your Account Manager duties and responsibilities: Manage contracts to ensure compliance and run-in accordance with all current health and safety law, statutory legislation, regulations, and guidance documents. Promote awareness of hazards across client contracts, assisting clients to manage hazards on our leading Opuz software Manage existing customer budgets and profitability, developing full sales potential to ensure payment terms are met Undertake annual contract renewals to retain contracts, achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and maximise growth / expansion of contract opportunities Ensure contract obligations are met on site Deliver continual support, advice, and guidance to customers across programme / tailoring of customer contracts as required Raise accurate customer quotations from enquires and hazards Build key relationships across internal teams (e.g. Plumbing & Risk Assessment), to ensure works are completed to agreed contract targets and quality standards Attend and present at customer meetings Deliver Legionella awareness and specialised City & Guilds training to clients and employees (across areas such as responsible persons and swimming pool training) Assist in contract tenders, new bids, marketing, tender reviews, and costing exercises for tender submission, through site visits Continually develop skills through personal development and training to ensure up to date with relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills Adhere to Health & Safety policies and requirements relation to care of equipment Requirements You will be an experienced Account Manager, with prior experience in the Legionella Industry, being a pivotal part of leading the face of the company to clients, with an organised and meticulous approach. Prior experience managing client accounts, renewals, and control, with evidence maximising client contracts for benefit of customer and company Prior experience in water hygiene and water treatment industry, with knowledge of legionella controls in line with the L8 ACOP Evidence of excelled stakeholder management and customer relations across career Consultative, caring, and meticulous approach to customer management An understanding of the sales cycle, targets and KPI’s Ability to travel nationwide, when required, for client meetings and training Health & Safety knowledge/qualifications i.e NEBOSH or equivalent Expect organisational, communication and interpersonal skills Strong team working, collaboration and intrapersonal skills High levels of attention to detail and care across contract management Expert technical knowledge and awareness of water treatment industry Advanced problem solving and analytical skills Full UK driving licence Applicants must be able to provide evidence of their Right to Work in the UK.
