Do you want to work in one of the South West’s largest organisation, where your skills set can drive real and meaningful change?

We currently have an exciting opportunity available as a Water Network Strategy Manager to join our Asset Management team working in Exeter. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of£40,000- £50,000 per annum, plus benefits.

As Water Network Strategy Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that the company achieves the most value from the drinking water asset base and that financial resources to maintain, rehabilitate and replace these assets are identified over a long-term planning horizon.

What you’ll be doing:

    • Managing the delivery of a programme of Water Supply Management Plans across the South West and Bournemouth regions
    • Undertaking the necessary performance evaluations to understand current performance and future risks - through an analysis of key performance measures, i.e., mains failures, network hydraulic performance, discolouration, S&D (including future growth projections), WTW capacities and performance
    • Development of optimised long term investment strategies to provide resilience and service improvement
    • Supporting the delivery of the water resources strategy
    • Supporting Operations in the development of network resilience studies and investments
    • Working closely with Programme Development to develop economic and efficient capital delivery plans for South West Water and Bournemouth for AMP8 and beyond
    • Supporting maintenance of long term water supply asset health
    • Providing detailed technical support for submissions to DWI and Ofwat
    • Maintaining key relationships with regulatory contacts
    • Supporting the development of economic and efficient water asset management plans for the 25 Year Future Outlook and final business plans. Support the PR24 process

What we are looking for:

    • Scientific or related Degree
    • Previous track record of successful delivery of asset management projects
    • Ability to think strategically
    • Water supply system operations and key performance indicators
    • Able to influence and communicate at a senior level
    • Ability to develop strong external relationships with stakeholders
