Position Overview

The Warehouse Operative carries out all warehousing functions, drives the forklift trucks, and conducts other work for the business as instructed

Essential Job Functions
  • Maintain the yard area and warehouse to a very high standard of cleanliness through sweeping, hosing down and reorganising. Ensure that materials are segregated appropriately and can be easily found and identified.
  • Bring components to and bring product from the lines.
  • Complete stock transfer sheets correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Check stock on a regular basis and correct quantities.
  • Work safely at all times within a busy manufacturing environment
  • Maintain the warehouse to a high standard of housekeeping (to cGMP) at all times.
  • Carry out Safety and quality checks on time and to the required standard.
  • Courteously communicate with employees and external drivers/delivery people.
  • Drive and operate the Forklift trucks safely, using a forklift truck to load and unload the transfer vehicle.
  • Immediately inform Supervisor or Production Manager of any issues that impact the Safety, Quality or Output of the factory.
  • Ensure stock levels are correct and conduct the monthly stock check as required.
  • Track empty drums/IBCs and ensure that they are returned to suppliers correctly.
  • Ensure the security of the compound and of goods leaving or entering the site.
Requirements
  • Counterbalance Forklift truck license
  • Operatives must be hard-working, diligent and dexterous
  • Experience of working in a clean manufacturing environment is useful.
  • Great attitude to work is essential
  • Must be a good team worker.
Hours –7 till 3 , 3 till 11 Monday to Friday
