Aber Falls Whisky Distillery is excited to announce the opening of our brand new Bottling Hall in Bangor. Our new site will allow us to bottle our very own Whisky and spirit portfolio, currently distilled and matured at the Aber Falls Whisky Distillery. We are now looking for 2 Warehouse / Tank Farm Operatives to join the Aber Falls team!

Overview

Within this role you will be responsible for the preparation, bottling, packaging and handling of a range of finished goods and bulk liquids, using company approved standard operating procedures, whilst abiding with all relevant company policies for health & safety, hygiene and quality to ensure that these products comply with the agreed specification and are prepared in time to satisfy the production programme.

Duties and Responsibilities within this role will include:

· Connection and movement of pipework to pumps and associated equipment.

· The off-loading of bulk liquid tankers, casks both full and empty and dry goods.

· To make, dilute, filter and transfer a range of alcoholic beverages following approved recipes and keeping within tolerances.

· To clean, pack and use sheet filters for the preparation of products prior to bottling.

· To clean tanks and sterilise product filling lines and fillers, using the automated CIP plant in accordance with the daily product filling timeline.

· Disgorging of casks for both bottling and re-racking.

· Filling casks

· General warehouse duties storing stock and materials in designated areas. Collecting materials from warehouse for daily tasks.

· To follow any reasonable management instruction

· To be aware at all times of the Company health and safety policy. Ensure all processes are conducted in accordance with Company hygiene requirements and the work area is clean and tidy

· Highlight any consumable shortages to avoid unnecessary downtime.

· Ensure daily production programme is completed in the most efficient or priority order and react to any changes in the programme.

· To ensure maximum effective utilisation of machinery and run machinery at the correct speed levels.

· To ensure production administration procedures are properly and accurately completed within the requisite timescales that may involve use of SAP.

· To ensure that all tasks are done with the minimum product loss.

· Lifting of bags and containers up to 25kg and manually roll empty and full casks adhering to company health and safety.

· To ensure specification sheet and SOP are followed at all times.

· To assist in the training of other colleagues.

The ideal candidates will possess:

· Previous experience in a food-manufacturing environment.

· Self-motivated, dedicated, resourceful, adaptable and flexible

· Team player with good communication

· Ability to freely contribute to continuous improvement and suggestions.

· Punctual

· Possess a good level of literacy and numeracy

· Desire to undertake ongoing training

· Hold a current FLT license

· The ability to work at heights.

· GCSE Level or equivalent education.

Shift allowance will be payable for working rotating shift pattern.
