Monday to Friday with Saturday on a rota

Salary: £19,785 per annum (pro rata) plus pension and benefits

We have an exciting opportunity for a friendly and reliable Warehouse Assistant to join the team at our Brewers Decorator Centre in Bletchley, Milton Keynes on a 6-month fixed term contract. This vital role includes keeping the warehouse organised and delivery service running smoothly - experience with our products isn’t necessary, if you bring great customer service and team working skills to the table, we’ll give you everything you need to succeed.

Our Decorator Centre in Bletchley is one of two Brewers Decorator Centres in Milton Keynes. Inside this store customers will find a showroom which stocks an impressive range of trade and designer paint brands including specialist coatings, a wide selection of wallcoverings along with all the decorating tools and equipment our customers need whether they be a professional decorator or a keen home décor enthusiast. Our friendly team of twelve have over 80 years service with the business between them so if you are looking to expand your knowledge in our industry, you will be in the best place to do it. Conveniently located on Bilton Road, this Milton Keynes store is open Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm and Saturday 8am - 5pm.

As a Warehouse Assistant with Brewers, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Storing goods received promptly, systematically and safely
• Assisting delivery drivers with loading of goods, and ensuring goods are available for collection
• Keeping accurate records of goods in and out, ensuring relevant functions receive correct and up to date information
• Operate the fork lift truck to store stock safely (training will be given)
• Mix paint for customers, process specialist orders, and request special stock within the Branch network
• Maintaining warehouse to agreed standards, ensuring minimal risk of injury, accident or damage
• Promote and support the growth of the branch, being an ambassador for Brewers
• Provide exceptional service to customers in branch

Who we are looking for to join our team:

• Previous warehouse experience is an advantage but not essential
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to use own initiative and work well within a team
• Can work quickly and accurately, with good attention to detail and excellent time management skills
• Demonstrate multitasking ability
• Approachable, possessing an open and friendly personality
• Forklift truck license desirable, but not essential as training can be provided
• Confident with the use of computers with the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within our industry
