The Role

You will be responsible for maintaining, promoting and increasing a high level of customer care. We are looking for hard working, presentable candidates with excellent communication skills and a good standard of English both written and spoken. You will meet all our end users and deliver exceptional service on behalf of the business. As a drivers’ assistant, you will be required to carry heavy loads up to 25kg’s by hand and will also be provided with the equipment to carry anything above this weight. All in all, you will be required to assist our drivers with their daily delivery routes. Successful applicants must have a full clean licence.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Goods receipt

· Picking orders and deliveries driven by Line Manager

· Stock put away and replenishment driven by Line Manager and utilizing

· Packing and wrapping goods in such a way as to best utilize space and prevent stock damage

· Inventory control – deploying a PI methodology, stock counting

· Ensure that all warehouse tasks are completed efficiently

· Forklift operation – loading and unloading of vehicles and stock locations

· Ensure that all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with the company’s procedures and requirements

· Maintaining housekeeping and H&S standards within the warehouse

Person:

· Ability to work well as part of and make a positive contribution to the team

· Good communication skills

· Ability to plan and organize own workload as well as follow clear instruction

· Ability to work under pressure and meet business critical deadlines

· Good attention to detail

· Comprehension of health and safety requirements

· Flexible approach to duties and tasks

· Good understanding of customer deliveries and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £20,800.00 per year
