The logistics team at IKEA Gateshead are looking for people to join our Replenishment team & Goods Flow Team. We are looking for proactive and energetic individuals, who are not afraid to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. We are on the lookout for someone who has great communication skills, attention to detail and a passion for stock accuracy and follow in-store health and safety guidelines.

This is a physically demanding role which will involve a lot of manual handling and walking throughout the store.

For Goods Flow - Fork Lift Truck (FLT) experience is preferred but not essential. We use counterbalance & reach trucks. There is an additional allowance for FLT.

WHATS IN IT FOR YOU?

Contract hours: 18, 24 & 30 hours
Contract type: permanent
Hourly Rate: £9.50
Nightshift Allowance: £2.03 for hours worked between 11pm-6am
Shifts: between 11:00pm-10:00am, 7 days a week and 3 out of 4 weekend. (Please keep this in mind if you are relying on public transport)

Various co-worker roles are available across the Logistics function, working between 3 & 5 days depending on contract size.

We require all our co-workers to have good availability. We are committed to giving each co-worker 1 in 4 weekends off..

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working to ensure that large volumes of products are unloaded, replenished and picked for our customers
  • Takes responsibility to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues and our customers
  • Work with our internal systems to ensure that customers have accurate and full stock availability at all times
  • Receives stock into the building checking stock accuracy
