x 5 Warehouse operatives required for a busy home accessories warehouse based in Fenton

The role is ongoing and could lead to a permanent contract

hours of work are monday to friday with occasional weekends & overtime

Pay rate per hour is £9.00

you will be paid for at least 45 hours per week

  • Physically fit and able to work on your feet for most of the shift; if loading, ability to meet the physical demands of the job. The individual will need the ability to move around with ease, while at times lifting and carrying items potentially weighing up to 30kg
  • Practical and organised with a methodical approach to work
  • Awareness and ability to follow safety instructions and procedures
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Dependant on what the role is within the Warehouse and product/industry. For example, "Picker and Packer" within a cosmetic organisation pick small items from small bins. This will be totally different to picking large items from racks using pallet trucks
  • Skills required will also depend on whether it is picking from a picking sheet or via headphones or barcode scanners, etc
  • For example, if packing small items to go in the post, will require attention to detail, writing and recording skills, etc

Main Duties/Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Assist with the unloading of vehicles and the checking in of stock
  • Manually sort and place materials or items on to racks and shelves
  • Collect items from throughout the Warehouse, prepare and complete warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule
  • Perform warehouse inventory controls via scanner and/or through a computer
  • Performing stock counts and location checks
